In a major development, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL) has achieved a significant milestone by successfully energising 10,466 rooftop solar installations, cumulative of a massive 160.3 MWp capacity across North and North-West Delhi.

Under its flagship initiative, Project ‘Suryansh’, the utility is swiftly accelerating the adoption of rooftop solar, reinforcing its leadership position in Delhi’s renewable energy landscape.

Following the central government’s Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGMBY) and backed by aggressive consumer awareness campaigns, Tata Power-DDL has energised 4,375 installations under this scheme alone. This marks the highest adoption rate among all power distribution companies (DISCOMs) in Delhi.

The residential sector has shown remarkable enthusiasm for the green transition. To date, over 8,451 residential connections have been integrated into the solar grid.
