Seva Setu camps accelerate PM Surya Ghar rooftop solar drive across states

Seva Setu Camps have enabled more households to adopt rooftop solar by bringing the benefits of solar energy closer to citizens and supporting their journey for a clean, reliable, and sustainable energy future.

Special Seva Setu Camps have been organised across several states under the Centre’s PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana to accelerate the adoption of rooftop solar by helping households navigate the application process, subsidies and financing options.

The camps have been organised in states including Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Bihar and Manipur.

It is a community focused initiative under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. Officials and technical teams have been appointed at the camps to provide information on the rooftop solar scheme and address queries related to installation and other operational issues.

The initiative is aimed at making it easier for households, both in rural and urban areas, to access the benefits available under the PM Surya Ghar scheme.

The aim of the camps is to provide guidance on the application process, subsidy claims and bank loans for installing rooftop solar systems.
